The colour monster

Our new feelings check in station in EYFS. This week we have been reading ‘The Colour Monster’, we now have a colour monster themed well-being station. Here the children can select a Pom Pom which best describes their feelings and place it in the corresponding pot. It’s a lovely opportunity to share positive feelings and experience as well as detect any negative ones and offer support and solutions for these. We’ve discussed why we feel this way and what makes us feel these different emotions.

Bikeability

Levels 1 and 2 of the Bikeability training were completed this week. Congratulations to all of our pupils for completing the courses and enjoying time outdoors.

We are incredibly proud to introduce you to the newest signing to Burnley F.C.
Our very own Jasper is officially the U9 Goal Keeper for Burnley F.C.
Jasper played in goal at the Premier League Festival at Loughborough University this weekend. A huge well done Jasper, we look forward to watching your football career progress.

Huge congratulations to our past pupils.

Congratulations to all of our past pupils receiving examination results last week. We are incredibly proud of all the success, achievements and resilience during such an uncertain year.

It has been a joy to hear from our past pupils who have shared their success stories; many pupils achieving the outstanding grade 8 and 9 GCSE results.

Good luck in your future studies.

Yesterday Year 3 and 4 created their own x-rays or bones whilst learning all about Marie Curie and her contributions towards science.

Goal keeping talent

Congratulations to Jasper from our Year 3 class. Jasper has been invited to train with the academy teams at both Manchester City and Burnley F.C.
Both clubs are showing a huge interest in Jasper’s goal keeping talent.
Jasper also plays in goal for Springhead Rockets and Sapre Aude Academy.
We are incredibly proud of Jasper and we look forward to watching his progression in football.

Ancient Egyptian Projects

A big well done to children in year three and year four who have completed their Ancient Egyptian projects. All of the work was completed as homework over the past half term, with them creating models inspired by their own research. This included models of ancient gods, a functional throne of Isis and a mummy that you can stick your head through! Once again, well done, you have all out done yourselves and should be very proud!
